On July 28, 2026, our Seattle location was devastated by an arson attack that forced us to close the shop. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely—but the fire caused catastrophic damage to a space that has become much more than just any old garage.

Our Seattle shop suffered extensive damage and is currently closed as we determine what it will take to rebuild and reopen.

No one was injured. Our team and community members were able to get out safely, and we are incredibly grateful for that.

The fire is being investigated as arson. Surveillance footage captured the incident, and investigators have been working to identify the person responsible. If you have any information, please let us know so we can forward it to the detective on the case.

We’re committed to rebuilding. Ant’s Community Garage was created to give people an affordable place to work on their own vehicles, learn new skills, get help when they need it, and connect with their community. This attack will not be the end of that.

We’re still here for you in Everett. Our Everett location remains open and available to serve the community. Seattle members affected by the closure who have questions about their memberships can call us in Everett or email us directly.
